I have no idea what he meant.
When I questioned him, he cited that I'm going to get a tattoo of one of those little brown sparrows you see everywhere in DC on my foot -- and eventually -- this whole print wrapping around one side of my back/waist. He said I think things are beautiful and thought-provoking that other people would overlook and that I make things poetic and artistic when commonly they are not considered that.
I don't know if that's what Erykah Badu would do... but it was a pretty nice compliment nevertheless...
Aren't those birds incredible though. You won't even know they are there, until suddenly one hops near you, catches your eye, then -- BAM -- all of a sudden you see 20 of them all bathing in the dirt patch together!
I freaking love these little birds!
